DIY chicken coop based off of "The Smart Coop"?

I can't afford the $1995.00 chicken coop from https://app.coop.farm/products/the-smart-coop.

Do you think it's possible to make an affordable copy-cat of "The Smart Coop"? I am going to attempt myself to build my own coop well under that price range.

Here's what "The Smart Coop" looks like. It's as if Apple made a chicken coop because of its sleek design.

In the same material, probably not. In the same design, that shouldn't be a problem if you have any woodworking experience. There's nothing particularly unusual about the design.

That said, it's ridiculously small. I certainly hope you will scale it up unless you're only getting a couple of Silkies.

Yes, I will definitely use wood and hardware cloth. I plan to also free range my chickens and having them return back to the coop every night.

You still need a larger coop and run.
No one ever plans on the need to lock up the flock due to predator attacks or inclement weather.
Where, in general, do you live? Your climate will play a significant role in the design of your coop and run.

Almost regardless of your location I would extend the roof to cover the run area.

For that same price I'm in the process of building a 12' x 16' coop.
