One sorry looking chicken

I only have 11 chickens, most have finished moulting and started laying eggs again, but this Minorcan is in a real sorry looking state. The coop looks like someone had a pillow fight.

Thanks for suggesting it. I did think that, but their coop is under cover & well sheltered. Temperature only drops to around 3°c - 5°c at night, when she's tucked up with the other girls. She seems happy, but i will keep a good eye on her.

Thanks for your comments. She has loads of the pinfeathers, so hopefully it won't be too long. She's normally such a good looking bird.

It's always sad when they molt that hard. Fortunately it's not forever

I'm looking forward to seeing what she looks like when the feathers are all grown back. This is her first moult.
