She's our Booted Bantam, Ducky, and she's very beautiful, but not that friendly. We hatched and raised her but she's just an aloof sort of chicken. We bought a Booted pullet from the breeder we got the eggs off in case the eggs she gave us weren't fertile (it was the end of the season) or turned out to be boys. Her name is Hope and she's a dirty grey colour, grew up free range but she is the friendliest, sweetest thing ever who just adores our kids. Her only vice is that she goes broody often and will sit for as long as it takes to hatch something! We live in suburbia so it's sadly a bit tricky to indulge her.
