~Ivy snorted out a clear huff of defiance, her tail stiff. "We will win!!!!!~
~Hazel smashed a back hoof against a stone wall in a show of obvious power and nodded agreeably. "Now is the time."~
~Zitkala blew a long gust through her nostrils and said absolutely nothing.~
~Macawi's dark eyes sparked with unvoiced cunning as her ears pinned back, already scheming against Valley Herd.~

Smoke held back a wide grin, his eyes shining with pride at his powerful herd. "We will attack them head-on - the ones of you that are darker colored will wait in the trees as backup - but I doubt well need it" he snorted. "Will you come, Zitkala?"

"Chumani is" Smoke whinnied, " and so are Shimmer and Winu-cala - If you don't want to come you don't have to" he snorted quickly.

~Zitkala forced an abhorred look off of her face. "In that case," she nickered, still icily calm, "I'll be coming." She hoped Smoke hadn't been able to pick up her mortification as she realized whom she would be staying with- and therefore acquitted to their attributes. Who would ever want to be grouped with THEM?!~

Smoke nodded, glad that she was coming. "I'm glad - an experienced horse isn't something that I don't need" he snorted.
"TO SUN-SOAK FIELD!!!" Smoke trumpeted, as he galloped towards the steep, narrow path, nimbly springing down it. He paused at the bottom, waiting for the rest of the herd before continuing his charge.
Twilight picked her way down the path, her tail swishing with excitement.
Hmmmm.... What other mountain herd horses do I have... Grr

Smoke nodded, glad that she was coming. "I'm glad - an experienced horse isn't something that I don't need" he snorted.
"TO SUN-SOAK FIELD!!!" Smoke trumpeted, as he galloped towards the steep, narrow path, nimbly springing down it. He paused at the bottom, waiting for the rest of the herd before continuing his charge.
Twilight picked her way down the path, her tail swishing with excitement.
Hmmmm.... What other mountain herd horses do I have... Grr

(Welp looks like the time to throw Frost into this)

Frost waited patiently, she had no need to speak up because she already knew she was going now matter what, her eyes shone with fierce determination

(Not sure if anyone saw me but I'm here so yay)

Frost galloped closely behind Smoke as the headed quickly towards the Sun-soaked field

Smoke slowed to a quick canter, saving his energy for the battle that was about to ensue.

(Valley)
Hinto trotted into camp, then up to the eagle towers. "Attention, herd" he neighed loudly. "Star light has been badly injured. She is at Eagle dive lake with Paytah, Hawk, Moon shine and Dark Night. She was attacked by coyotes, so be on the alert." H paused briefly, wondering if he should continue. "Any and all able horses, head to sun soak field to graze."
Misae ran up to Hinto and slammed into a skidding stop. "I heard mountain herd going NUTS this morning" she whispered, "it sounded like they were planning an attack" her eyes shone eagerly.
Hinto let his gaze rest on the pinto filly, then raised I over the herd again. "Be on high alert for anything" he whinnied, "especially you young stallions, keep a high watch"

Lilly hesitated at the top of the path, then turned back to Chumani. "I - I'm going to stay here" she murmured shyly.
(I think I might see if Jade will take her on as a yearling, to become a Watcher.)
