(Otaktay!.....)
Flood slowed to a silent walk as he neared the battle. In the middle of the field, two stalllions were entirley focused on eachother, with a few mountain herd horses still lingering as they drove off theor opponents. His calm, wise gaze turned and settled on the lanky pinto at the edge of the field. He instantly recognized the rage outlined in her young muscles, the wild light that sparked behind her eyes. "That's her" he snorted.
~
Misae's hooves slammed into the dark forest soil. She raised her head, flagged her tail, and began to prance around Macawi, her long legs working slowly, steadily, balancing her lithe frame for a breif moment before she set them down. Giving her opponent no time for a reaction, her long neck snaked out and her bright white teeth flashed. There was now blood flowing slowly from Macawi's shoulder. Misae watched with pleasure as the wound pulsed with each heartbeat, then wheeled around and took off after Hinto, satisfied with herself.
~
Flood stood in awe at the evil genius of the young horse. "Such control!" he breathed. Then raced off to intercept the young mare, slidding his powerful body in front of her.
Misae skidded to an abrupt halt, then reared and slammed her hooves into Flood's gleaming hide.
~
Flood laughed. "You fought well, yearling" he nickered calmly, turning to face her.
~
Misae crouched, her head lowered and her ears pinned, her heart still thudding with the thrill of battle. "I am not afraid of you" she snorted, swishing her tail in defiance.
~
"Good, I never wanted you to be" Flood replied, raising his head. "Otaktay" he called, "Come, what do you think of her?"

Eh?![]()
~Otaktay shoved the black, wounded filly aside as he broke out into the sunlight. His gaze trickled along the defiant yearling Flood had his eye on. "She's strong," he muttered, encircling the enraged filly with a loping circle, "and her hatred for hierarchy and law is complete."~
~Macawi spat defiance, completely unafraid as her front leg gave way and she crumpled to the ground in the burro's wake. Bloodied mane obscuring her vision of the apparent raid, she let herself roll to the dirt, flanks heaving and frothy with glistening sweat. Her mind whirled with inexplicable consternation.
What
Just
Happened?~

Flood stood and listened to Otaktay.
~
Misae tensed abruptly at the sight of the burro.
He will die she thought, But not yet
~Otaktay froze up as he felt Misae's glare burning into him. His head whipped around and he tore her eyes into his. "You have something to say, filly?" he snorted, daring her not to flinch under the deadly intensity of his dark eyes. "A contradiction, perhaps?"~
~Macawi lay prostrate on the ground, taking in this exchange with the utmost care and eagerness. This information is going to come in useful someday.
In the very near future.~

Misae said nothing, and did not move - just simply stared at him with a ruthless, bloodthirsty glare.
~
Flood watched the exange quietly, flicking a fly off his broad, battle scarred flank.
~Otaktay glared back, shooting tangible malevolence at her from his eyes, and spun on his hooves, slapping his bristly tail in her face. "She obviously has no clue who we are," Otaktay snorted in a cruel amusement to Flood.~

Misae lunged forward and scraped her hooves down Otaktay's haunches, leaving two lon, bloody streaks in his hide.
~
"No" Flood murmured, "but perhaps that is an advantage to her. Not having any preset ideas. No ropes in her mind to even allow the thought that she would not win to cross her mind"
