Shasta finished packing. She grabbed some dog booties and a dog jacket for Minx and Star. then she half carried half dragged the sled to met Joe.

To a horse, strange noises mean 'go the other way', Darkwynd said. She watched the landscape change as they moved closer to the mountain base. No training could make the mare forget her instincts, though it helped lessen them.
