TeeHee! No door... & no BROOM either :gig
Yep! The door has been moved, this morning it was a more orderly exit from the Hen Houses without the inside door causing a bottleneck.

The broom has legs apparently... and recently has gone broody hiding away at times. But I find it and sweep any broody thoughts from it's bristles!

Today the broom gets to do spider web duty - the barn needs a good sweeping out!

This helps a lot. I have to keep resisting my felt need to feed her up!
There are slim chickens out there.

Pony Sunday

Something different today - I have been looking online to see how to attach my mum's zipper foot on her sewing machine when I came across this video showing how sewing machines were invented and how they actually work! Brilliant!

Have a lovely day everyone.

The semester is finally over. I finished with decent grades, and I’m glad to finally be out of those classes.
My school changes classes each semester, so you take half of your classes first semester and the other half second semester (four classes a day).
First semester I had English, Acting 1 (dad forced me to take it), Animal Science, and AP Gov and politics.
I ended English with a 91, acting with a 100, Animal Science with a 97, and AP Gov with an 81. All of my friends ended gov with 70’s, so I’m quite happy that I didn’t. My teacher was out the last two weeks because she was in the hospital, so that was helpful. She’s okay, thank goodness, but I could’ve gotten an A if she had been there to actually put in grades. I’m just glad she’s okay though.
Next semester I have Geometry (it’s honors and I’m screwed… I barely got a B in non honors algebra last year), Vet Science (when I take my end of pathway assessment at the end of the year, I can get vet tech certified), Wildlife Management, and Dual Enrollment/AP Biology 2.
I’m actually very excited for all these classes. I have friends in all of them, and in Wildlife management I’ll be able to spend time with my school chickens because the teacher is the one who helps me and my friend with the chickens, and the coop is right outside the classroom.
But for two weeks, I get a break from school and I don’t need to stress about grades.

Oh, and my friend and I put that persons barred rocks in a different coop. The girl lied to us, both of our ag teachers (the one who is helpful with the chickens and the one that we had problems with), and so the ag teacher that we had problems with told us to put the BR’s in with her chickens (the ones that killed my friends polish) and so we did… kinda. We put a tsc coop in the chicken pen and put the BR’s in there to get the chickens used to each other so that that BR’s don’t die.
The girl apparently told the problem ag teacher that she was going to make my friend and I do all of the work… why she told an ag teacher that? No clue. The girl isn’t very smart… the ag teacher failed her on the project that she had the chickens for.
Let me say, this girl asked what honey was made out of… and then when our chickens started fighting her barred rocks, said “oh, look, they’re playing!” No… no they aren’t. She also didn’t research AT ALL about chickens before she got them. Ugh, I hate people sometimes.

Anyways, here’s my tax. My favorite boy ever, Athens. He’s such a sweetie. He only attacks people if they don’t baby talk him. Like, I’ve told people that have watched our chickens when we go out of town to baby talk him, they think I’m joking, and then get attacked.
Although, Mom baby talks him and he attacks her on occasion. Maybe he just likes me, I dunno. He’s my favorite boy though.

I was great at math until algebra, (a terrible teacher made it even worse,) but I loved geometry! You might be surprised 🙂

He's a very handsome boy. Mr P in reverse! (black and white hahaha)

Next time she asks where honey comes from tell her its Bee Vomit... - which technically it is!

And with that I am going back to my bed - I have an evil migraine (maybe all that Bee vomit i have in my tea haha) and I am just coasting through the day.
