First winter with my new flock which included the Isbars. I am so impressed. The hens never stopped laying and carried the load when the others shut down over winter. I have never used heat or light and just let them rest according to nature.
I would say the Isbar equals the Leghorn in consistency.
The roosters, too, are so friendly and sweet natured. I think they will be keepers in my flock.
BTW, I have a gorgeous blue Isbar rooster that I hatched last September, if anyone in this area is interested.
 
Wow, this is very good to know, @cressrb ! We're getting four straight run Isbars in early March with the hopes of ending up with at least one roo in the bunch. I've been noticing that more and more people are saying very nice things about the breed, so it makes me anticipate ours even more.
