Ongoing Quilt Projects, Continued from the "No Appreciation...." Thread

Pics
I have been doing something, but we've had terrible storms the last few days, weather fronts which brought with them some of my usual headaches, thankfully not the true migraines, but enough to slow me down. Here is the last thing I have completed (almost).

I think the backing works really well on it. I'm bringing it over the front as binding, as you can see in the last picture.

Do you have any of the darker cranberry/red like in these squares left? Wonder if it would coordinate or clash with the olives and golds...

Thanks!
I am doing this table runner with the chicken fabric. With all the batting pieces, I have none long enough without piecing batting, but I have no thin cotton anyway so need to get that before I can continue. It will be something like 20x58" finished after quilting. And I did matching mug mats as a bonus to go with it.

The fabric you have your hot pads laying on in 2 of these pictures is also interesting, though may be too strong of a pattern to add to the mix, but the more simple green one you have outlining the runner in the 1st picture may work well.

Nope, I don't think so. I rarely keep many reds here. I can't find shades I really like. I gave that blue and red lap quilt to my SIL and her husband last month.

pulling out some fabrics that I have enough of for 12 of those 14" blocks, I have these colors (the circles on the brown don't blare out that way in person, must have been the flash).

And another color I think would tone nicely without competing would be a warm brown, not cinnamon, more rich chocolate or a reddish tone brown, if that makes sense, lol.

Yes, I was thinking that, actually. See edited post above. one brown I have there is close.

I am not really a fan of red either, at least not the 'firetruck' shades of it, but the darker cranberries and 'antique' looking shades I like for accents.
Me, too. I have a gorgeous one like that, but only a tiny amount of it left. Wish I'd gotten a yard of it when I ordered it.
