Maybe use the darker gold as a tiny 1/2 inch border to set off the interior of the quilt from the border. It would pull out the darker gold in the blue flowered fabric.
Good idea! Thanks!

Oh, my "twin" quilt grew. The top is 76 x 99 before quilting. We each have two pillows on the bed so with only one on each side, it might could tuck some up there. This is a queen bed. Would make a twin bedspread size, I guess.

YW. I have learned just think a bit of a color sets the field off. I love love love color. I love to play with it. I have been to lots of national quilt shows and have learned a bunch of little hints from those that won big awards. Have to give them credit.
Good point and thank you!I love quilts that go all the way down to the floor or are flexible and I can use them on multiple beds. It looks really good.
Believe me I'm the same way. fabric has gotten dang expensive!! Often I want someone else to take a look and say yes or no or give me another option. You look at the plan so much and your eyes sort of get tired or don't see options.I'm pretty good with color, usually, though sometimes, I make a faux pas. Sometimes, it's my dark house or my bad eyes. Sometimes, it's just that I cannot go out and buy another yard of anything and must use what I have on hand, perfect or not.
Good point and thank you!
