Ongoing Quilt Projects, Continued from the "No Appreciation...." Thread

Since my quilting foot didn't fit and I sent it back and neither quilt shop has called me back, I had my husband try this.....he removed the plastic part of my quilting foot, which was glued down to the metal ledge. Voila!

He started on my new quilting table and I sandwiched the twin Blue Yonder quilt today. The sky blue flannel is so nice and thick, didn't shrink much in the pre-wash, either. I think it's perfect on the back of this quilt.

OUCH!!! At least rotary cuts at smooth and not jagged, sort of like a big paper cut. Tea tree oil can make it heal faster if you have some

It's much better now, just very sensitive. I'm using a 1" bandaid now rather than gauze. I'm just glad I cut up and not across my finger so it was not as bad as it could have been, not to the bone or anything.

Done that so sympathize, actually down to the bone. Even down to the bone just keeping a band aid on it to stabilize it works. It will help it heal and stay together. Tea tree oil would help it heal. Watch it for infection, might take a while. kinda weird looking at it. Didn't have health ins. then.

I just kept triple antibiotic ointment slathered on it and changed the bandage every day. I don't think I had any infection, thankfully. But, I sure hope I don't do that again!

Love the table in process, Cyn!
I pulled the trigger and am the owner of a new Brother Dreamweaver. The shop had a great show special, so i also picked up a sewing table with inserts for both the new machine and my Juki.
Can’t wait to get them all set up!

Wow, congrats, Terrie! I can't wait to see what all that looks like in your sewing room!

woohoo! New toys! so you've got the laser line? Can't wait to hear whether it's good.
Thanks to you ladies (enablers) I stopped into a sewing machine shop the other day. I was pretty impressed with the machines they showed me (janome) but for the price, they should be impressive :D
Anyway, the interesting thing (to me) was that the woman looked familiar and when the other lady said her name, I remembered that I'd done some sewing classes with her many (many) years back. Talk about "blast from the past".
