Oh, and another Carpenter's Wheel/Star quilt I custom made for a BYC member. This was hand quilted:

This is the one I did. I think if I were to do another, I would just do the one large in the center and accent it like you did with eye catching complementary blocks.
That's beautiful, Terrie! I love making medallion style quilts and deciding on each round as I get to it. I'm doing that now with this one with both Carpenter's Wheel blocks. I also made this one for my niece years ago in her special colors.

I love all the pictures, one thing I really don't like with the new site format is that we seem to have lost the 'pics in this thread' feature. I have tried going back looking at just pictures and have to go page by page now to do it :-(
No longer have the 'pics you posted' thing to go back to when you want to repost a pic in a different thread.
Unless my computer illiteracy is the problem...

No, it's probably the new format. I don't know how to use the "my media" thing. Seems rather random in what's in it and how they're arranged. I do miss that feature we used to have.

This is how the Buttercup quilt fits on the bed at this point. It drops below the mattress. I may or may not add a pillow tuck or maybe just a final border, but I had to quit for now on it. I feel pretty crappy today, have to rest. The next challenge will be backing. I have one yard of 108" red backing that they refunded me on at Thousands of Bolts because when I did the prewash I always do on red colors, it completely streaked up and was ruined. Should never have done that. I may put it across the bottom and piece the rest of the backing if I don't have a large enough piece of fabric to do the top part of the back (which I probably don't). I really don't much care what's on the back, just doing a utilitarian one this time around.
I really hope I can push this through my machine. I have not quilted one this large I don't believe on the machine yet, though I came close when I made one for Ellie (my good friend in CA, who owns two queen size hand-quilted ones I made. I had to do a fall one for her, a surprise, but it was machine quilted).

You are the matching corner queen!
another happy accident, story of my life, LOL. It did come out pretty well on the corners, didn't it? I took a nap *crashed, really) and woke up with a plan. I think I'll make a row of blocks across the top pillow area, then plain-border around the entire quilt with something. It's huge, but maybe I can hand quilt the center, which is the hardest part to do on the machine and machine quilt the rest. Not sure how that will look, but it really ought to be easier to do since I don't have a long arm machine.
