Welcome! To you and your eggs!

I can't believe I keep missing the silkies. I really need white and bbs to increase and improve my flock. Is it safe to put a pullet in with her father for breeding? I can't remember how that goes. I have some bbs eggs here due to hatch in about 5 days and more on the way in the mail. I only have 1 shipment of slikie eggs coming in. I need more so I can take my pick of he best and rehome the rest. I've got my new roo already for the bbs pen but he's not old enough. He and his sister are both very flufy and bearded. Their mother is bearded and so are the blue and splash hens on that side and of course, Handsome is bearded. I think he would rather be a house chicken. He loves attention. After the other fella gets old enough to take care of business I'll take my buddy out and give him some different girls. He will get some sizzle girls. I have 4 blue ones that came from a different stock than mine he can go with and I want to put the calico in with the others. I have one that is jet black except around it's neck it's white laced very lightly. And Noel that was hatched on Christmas is a variety of colors, with the calico colors should make for some interesting birds. lol

okay...slightly off topic question.
since polish lay white eggs, do you still get Olive eggers if you cross them with ameraucanas?
thinking some bantam a's might go ok w a mixed flock but with white egg layers not brown.
thoughts?
I keep getting odd singles or pairs in my swaps I say I'm gonna sell then someone falls in "love" with them!

gonna end up w a mixed flock regardless of my intentions!

Olive comes from brown (not necessarily dark brown) and blue. Crossing white and blue/green would probably result in a lighter color blue/green.
