I wish she liked to cuddle, but she would rather run around biting DH's ankles and chewing Rocky's ears!
How many Calls do you have? I think I have about 20, some adults and some juvies of all different ages. They are so precious. So pleased, I sold the single Runner duckling today. It kept busy getting the chick's water messed up. They wanted my Call duck, but I kept telling them it is a male and the duck they already had is a male. Of course, it will be a while before they can keep them together. At what age do ducks start laying eggs, and when do the males grow their curly tail feathers?
Tomorrow I have to get up early to take my neighbor for a colonoscopy. She takes care of the critters when I go away, so I am glad to do her a favor. Might as well get my feed while in Selmer. Today I assembled the frame of the next rabbit hutch. Had to dig a sheet of plywood out of the garage for the back, that was a chore. Got another water set up done for four more rabbit cages. The heat and humidity is already bad , I am dreading the next few months. I have so much to do, and between the heat and the bugs, I don't even want to go out there.
I only have one call duck! I thought I hatched three chicks, and they turned out to be Swedes. There is a guy who raises them locally that says he will bring me some chicks. Right now the ducks just have a kiddie pool, but once I get the duck shelter done they can swim in our pond. He says he has some that are blue with white spots... sounds interesting.
I have to get up early to get the guys off to work, and fix their breakfast and lunches for the day. In the morning I need to move the geese to a new grassy spot. They've eaten up their current yard.... ; )Awww, way cute! Today i worked a bit more on the rabbit cage, and started a pen for chicks coming out of the brooder. The heat is dreadful, keep stopping to cool off inside . I don't get up early, but I often go out and do things after the sun goes down.
