Only 1 hatched, currying like crazy, stressed, advice please!

So I tried quail eggs from ebay, had terrible incubating temps and assumed all eggs bad. One hatched today. Seems to be the only one. But it is running around cheeping, won't eat and is exhausting itself looking for friends. I have had the iPod in their playing cheeping sound for 8 hours which helped a bit. I also have stuffed animal friends in there. It still seems very stressed. Is it possible to raise just one or should I see if someone can overnight chicks to me?

get a friend from somewhere, try craigslist or search for local farms, animal swap meets. OR find it a home somewhere that can provide a friend.

I've ordered eggs from ebay and the hatch rates are terrible! Lucky to have one or two hatch. But the ones that did hatch were nice birds.

Try putting a mirror or two in with them, can make them feel less alone.

Make sure not to put regular chicks in with quail chicks. Chickens carry certain disease that they are immune to but quail are not.
