Is this normal for Call ducks? She's a very healthy little girl, typically spending the day leading her devoted Black East Indie drake around, swimming, and greeting me at the door. :love I understand they're not bred for production, but 3, maybe 4 eggs in her lifetime seems a little odd. Any thoughts? :)

Does she free range mostly? Describe your management about daily activity.
As a matter of fact, yes. :) I highly doubt she's hiding eggs, however, for a couple reasons - (1.) She disappears for several hours when laying. I'd notice immediately. And both times the silly little munchkin decided to keep concealed outside, her drake led me straight to the location. He's a gem.

(2.) I've become quite used to my chooks creating community nests in bizarre spots all over the property. Nearly every nook and cranny gets a good check. ;)

Not too sure how to describe my management, other than I check on the flock multiple times a day, both from windows and actually venturing outdoors. :)

That is strange..:idunno..I was hoping she was hiding eggs in the yard..:frow
I have one that doesn't lay so presume she has no function in her ovary..

Thanks, guys! :)

As long as she's healthy, I'm not terribly worried. :love Just been a little curious, that's all. Only downside....inability to hatch. :hmm

Yes...My girl actually gets a Drake curl in her tail and never lays eggs. She is a Hen so I don't want any replies about Pandora please..
