What do you think killed my hen?? All that is left is her neck and head and a bunch of feathers. No blood. So concerning! Never had a hen killed. Possums, raccoons and skunks are common here, but from what I've read they usually eat the head. There was an area dug under the fence. Could have happened this am before dawn too, I leave before sunrise. Thanks for your help...

Here's a site I found helpful when I was loosing birds. After reading your description it sounds like a possum or skunk to me, based on this site. (we don't have possums here) And I mentioned on a previous thread, that skunks don't always stink, so don't rule them out based on smell. We had one in our coop this fall, and I was in the coop with it for a few minutes doing chores before I spotted it under a hanging feeder eating a hen. There was no smell to warn me. Thankfully I spotted him before I got to close and he sprayed!
