Learning both at one time IMO would make it more difficult, but interesting.Am currently learning to crochet and knit... But it's not going well.
The only crochet I've been successful with is afghans, using only one stitch - over and over and over.
Honestly, knitting is easier to me. Also can just use one stitch - knit stitch is the easiest and you can make great scarves. I just learned knitting in the round this past winter, and hope to tackle socks this year - but toes and heels baffle me
