OnlyOrps Baby Shower--All Invited!

Am currently learning to crochet and knit... But it's not going well.
Learning both at one time IMO would make it more difficult, but interesting.

The only crochet I've been successful with is afghans, using only one stitch - over and over and over.

Honestly, knitting is easier to me. Also can just use one stitch - knit stitch is the easiest and you can make great scarves. I just learned knitting in the round this past winter, and hope to tackle socks this year - but toes and heels baffle me :)

I make hats with these:

I had one of those, but only ever made one hat on it.

Don't give up on two needle knitting, there are loads of videos on youtube to learn from. I love my Boye learn to knit and learn to crochet books - but go to the videos for special techniques.

Quote: Oh, crocheting is SO easy!!! You can go on line and get tutorials or even go to Walmart in the crafts section and get one of these tutorial cards that has all the stitches on them. It is VERY easy to learn.

Quote: I will definitely post pics. I made a chicken sweater last winter for an old sick hen...(the hen modeling this sweater was not the sick hen)
