Hey guys!
I'm in Foxboro, just north of Belleville... just moved here from Ottawa and JUST got the ok from the township for livestock, totally looking forward to getting my birds (chickens and ducks) in the spring (although I'm tempted to start this fall is I can get the coop fixed up on time)
glad to see there are other members in the province.. woohoo!
I need suggestions on cold hardy chickens and ducks, I don't want my flock to freeze! Our coop will be off the grid, no power supply in sight. I've worked out how to keep them warm enough, now trying to figure out how to keep the water from freezing throughout January and February without having a power supply :/
Is refilling it manually several time a day the only way to go?
