set 17 eggs in my little incubator last night! Okay, I might be stretching things a bit to say it was an accident

. I have no expectations for these eggs... they could be Midget Whites or a Bourbon Red/Midget White cross, plus they're the first eggs from my MW hens. I did check fertility with one of their first eggs and was happy to see the tell-tale bulls eye. I just couldn't stand collecting their eggs every day and not incubating them!

I really hadn't expected eggs until this coming spring, when I'll separate the birds into their respective coops/pens. Right now, the hens can easily fly out of their own pens into their adjacent neighbors pens.

28 days is going to seem like such a l-o-n-g time!

I just went through the same thing. See my other posts. The last one should have hatched today, but didn’t/hasn’t yet. Tomorrow I’ll probably crack it open to see what is in there. I think mine was humidity. It needs to be a lot higher in the end. 30-35% for the most part, then 60% at the end. Good luck to you.

Yep, this batch of turkey eggs will seem to take forever! I've hatched shipped turkey eggs twice before and was pleased with the hatch rates. Given that these are my hens first eggs I'm trying to be realistic in my hopes. I decided on incubating this batch in the little Brinsea ECO 20 rather than fire up one of the GQF Sportsman's. At least I'm limited to only trying to hatch as many will fit in the Brinsea! HA! Only 26 more days to go

ccrawf, are you going to incubate another batch right away?
