Oops! Accidentally ordered 25 chicks!

Well, OK, not TOTALLY accidentally, but I had been surfing Ideal Poultry's website months ago and saw they had an oriental straight run mixed bag. You could get asil, thai, yokohama - all sorts of neat birds. However, they were sold out. Well, I thought it wouldn't hurt to put my email address in to see when they would have more available. Lo and behold last week I got an email that said I had 3 days to order them if I was still interested. In a fit of insanity I ordered 25 chicks. I hope there are more pullets than cockerels. Anyway, my wife may well kill me for this one. Gotta build some more fencing!

That's funny! I pulled a trick, too, with DH. He told me to buy only six chicks. I "accidentally" had seven so I put a pitiful look on my face, held out the chicks, and said, "which one do you want me to put back?" One died, so I ended up with six, which is all our tractor coop will hold comfortably. Who can resist those little fuzzy butts!

That was good for a chuckle. Think I'll accidentally go out and buy a truck today. Think that'll fly?

my husband told me no chickens. i accidentally ordered 6 from MPC. they come the first week of june. haven't told my husband yet.

Yeah well....I'm going back to the feed store today and taking the 9 year old. I'm gonna blame it all on him!

(best part is, hubby thought I bought chicks yesterday and I said I would only get them if they had silkies. I need a non-breeding broody (or 3) and now I'm going back for an adorable little black and white winged one. lol and maybe 1 of the ones with the puffy cheeks!

I might call them and accidentally order 8 or so black runner ducks too. I am down to 1 duck and 1 goose watefowl-wise and boy do I love an indian runner duck.....
