if you didnt hear the gosling sadly died really upset me to begin with but feeling a little better now i have 4 eggs silkie/frizzle/sizzle eggs that are growing well and on day 11 so over half way there now

yeah i hope so sadly the shell was too thick and even though he pipped he was just too weak to hatch sadly but hopefully my silkies and salmons will be ok and hatch fine

It was regular snow. Luckily the high winds that we also had prevented it from lying

Hope all the sick ones are healing. I am counting myself and DH as very fortunate to not have had anything worse than allergies this year. Well, allergies and a funky gall bladder incident!

Another pretty day, but rain expected later. The ducks are learning to quack, and I moved the big cuckoo rooster to a smaller pen with his hens yesterday. So this morning the four EE roos dared to come out and test their crows. With six roos, only two really having a clue about crowing, it was a real off key concert!

Opa, don't let the boss work you too hard!

ranchie - I liked that pic of you all decked out in blucote gear.

I had to put some (very carefully) on one of my hen's comb. Of course she shook and I had some blue freckles mixed in with my regular ones for a while. Most of the splatter went on the wall and my shirt. I tend to learn to do things the hard way.
