Today I turned on the news to see the weather forecast, and see a report of a poor man who fell 20 feet at a Texas Rangers game and died. He was trying to get a ball that had been tossed to him by a player and tipped right over the railing head first. How horrible, and they actually showed him falling on the news with his son right there. Am I the only one who thinks that the media should not show such heartbreaking things on the air? How horrible for his family and friends.

I've always felt the media to be callous and uncaring. They pander to people baser instincts just to attract viewers. Like the news promo I heard a few years ago. "Herpes rampant at area nursing home, details at 11" Then at 11 that tell how several patients were suffering from shingles.
