Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

I remember when my Grandmother had shingles when she was in her 70's, I felt so bad for her, she was so uncomfortable from them. They are just terrible, and I am glad her doctor didn't treat is as callously as your doctor did Ewesheep, because I would have probably lost my Grandfather right then and there. He probably would have not survived her wrath!

Ranchie and Highlander I hope you have a great visit!

I just picked a whole lot of blackberries with my 2 year old, they are finally ripe! He looked so cute with his purple hands and purple face!

Thanks for the sympathies y'all.

I am leaving for FL tomorrow morning, come hell or high water, but it sure is looking like hell first!

Ranchie should soon be on her way to meet up with our darlin' Thistle. Can you imagine how uncomfortable the Highlander and her family are going to be dealing with the heat? Coming from a country where the average high for July is only 60.8 degrees, then having it hit the mid 90s today at Disney World has got to be one hell of a shock to their systems.

Sigh...... I guess it isn't going to stop at 3 bad things after all.

I discovered, late yesterday afternoon, that the lights on the already partially loaded truck aren't working right. So it's either a fix for that or I end up with the other truck, which still needs an oil change etc. before it's trip ready.

Still waiting to see what I end up driving!

And on Sat afternoon, DH lost his bank card and we had to cancel it with the bank. That was going to mean a bank trip Monday morning, 60 miles in the wrong direction, but I got enough cash for both of us yesterday, so that there's no need for the bank trip today.

Then Bingo got out Sat night - black dog, Sat night, on a busy highway. Got him back in finally, but I nearly had heart failure, chasing him for several hours through wet woods. (We'd had a huge thunderstorm hours before) Had another yesterday, so the humidity is 200% now. And hot.

Went to get Flock Raiser at TSC yesterday, just about out. Well, somehow TSC managed to run out of ALL chicken feed, something about the truck not coming in after the Fourth! I begged and pleaded and we found two 20 lb. bags of Dumor starter buried in the warehouse. They'll have to eat it or starve!

I am pretty much ready to go, once I find out which truck I'm taking I am out of here. This has been a rough week, something I rarely say or think. But I am determined to get the pesky issues out of the way and go feed the Highlader clan and FIL the SC BBQ that I had to freeze yesterday!

I'm very sorry about your troubles, Ranchie. I hope you can get out on the road soon! But... Is it even possible to have 200% humidity?

Aye, it's toasty. When it rains we are praying for the sun to come out and when the sun is out we are praying for the rain again. Never happy! We are having a great time though, kids are having a ball. The smile on my daughter's face yesterday when the Disney Princesses waved at her has been worth the whole trip.

Looking forward to that SC BBQ coming down for a visit.
