Bad news is a roo gone rogue. He will need to be dealt with. The bleeding on my leg has stopped now, but my memory is very keen!

Been having some odd sleep hours myself lately. Probably due to my nap habits. Btw, i have done some refinishing of oak furniture using the old method of scraping with glass. Picked it up from an old mate from Australia by way of England. Actually works pretty good.

I see folks from many parts of this great country-anyone else besides a Deep East Texas gal seeing signs of spring?
I was so excited a few days ago when I noticed the Bradford Pears had started to bloom.
Spring is the best-a new beginning.

I agree that the glass trick is a very effective method to smooth a surface. Most people don't realize that hand sanding can put grooves or low spots in the surface. Plus a good, properly shaped scraper or a piece of glass doesn't need to thrown away.

I hope they make a go of it!! Monthly grocery shopping is tomorrow, so I'll be super busy again. Maybe I can sleep tomorrow night though

Here it is in the upper 30s and rainy BUT today I saw new buds on one of the lilac bushes. Spring cant be TOO far off.
I also just set 6 cochin bantam eggs and looking into the other incubator to see if the button quail have hatched.
Opa, do you refurbish antiques as a hobby? I dont have any old pieces of furniture but I have lots of old clocks, the oldest one I have is from 1910. Most of them I have bought broken and got running again.
