I came looking for you on here Sam. I was actually worried cause I have seen you on the usual thread I check in the morning. Hope you feeling better soon.
Highlander, Love those Rheas, wonderful. Chickies too, fantastic.
Sam so sorry you are not feeling well, I hope it passes quickly, my garden has done well this year too, I have a lot of tomatoes, beans, cabbage, onions and Spinach to see me through the winter and have some lovely Squash plants coming through now, with quite a few fruit appearing late.
I have been kept busy with the garden and 2 new arrivals in the form of a pair of very small and very naughty Border Collies. I saved them from being taken to the Dog's Trust. I will post some pics of them soon. A Little girl and a boy, that my LLewelyn has fostered and they are both doing well, just running me, Llewelyn and my house these days. lol. But great fun.
Hope you are all well and Granny is enjoying her trip.
Sally wherefore arte thou? How are them ducks doing?
Jena, great to see you here. I'm envious of the new dogs. I would love to get a new puppy but I don't think my old dog would like it very much. After the bad spell she had a few weeks ago I don't think I want to do anything to upset her much. She is pretty much acting like her old self again so I don't think I will do anything other that enjoy the time she has left to give. This getting old really sucks; for both dogs and people.
They are real little bundles of fun these two, but for the moment they are apart from the old man, but he is so good with them. They do mix daily and they are getting along fine. I was pleasantly surprised that he has taken to them so well.
The chickens however are not impressed. lol... They like Llewelyn being around and come to see him now they know he poses no threat, but they are not keen on the juniors. They take off to the coup rapidly, but the pups have taken no notice of them at all, chasing long grass is much more fun.
Hope you are feeling better, and I know the feeling about the old girl. I was thinking about finding a pup to take over in case anything happens to my Llew, but in the hairdressers I was told about these pups, their owner is 7 months pregnant and she could not cope, so I got them before they were sent to a dog shelter. Good job I have built this little area at the side of the house for dogs...lol....lol..

I don't think a formal one. Some met last year at Fowl Fest in Frankenmuth and had lunch at the show together. I will be there with just the kids that are showing. Makes it easier on me
I seem to be feeling much better today. Hope was kind enough to take my cold so as my symptoms improve hers gets worse. Needless to say she is not a happy camper.
I did go finish a small job today and was able to collect the balance owed. Any day that money comes in is always a pretty reasonable day. Came home and picked a five gallon pail of tomatoes. Most were romas. I scalded and peeled them and put a batch of stewed tomatoes on to cook. Wound up with 12 quarts and the first seven are now in the pressure cooker. I have an All American pressure cooker that I bought 40 odd years ago and while I really like it I sure wish a could afford to buy a new one. Mine will only do 7 quarts at a time and the one I'd like will to have will do 19 quarts at once. The only problem is that is costs over $400.00. Sort of out of my budget. Buying one would put tomatoes into the same category as my $100 eggs.
