If they haven't hatched by Sunday then the only way you will find out about them is by getting in touch with me in my padded cell.

So are you saying that the trip was as short as Ranchie claimed?

Yep. I'm just grateful that she is keeping the cell warm until I get there.

The two of you in the same cell? The asylum would have to put on extra help.

How can they lay anything... they just wouldn't leave them alone.... Now there are only two roosters ... and soon to be none.... the chickens are much more calm now. and I am recieving 3 eggs a day now.. hopefully it will be 4 soon. I will have to get more chickens.. but I would like to get them a bit older so I know I am not getting roosters again...

happy fall everyone! It is so warm here, but the leaves are changing and some of the early ones are already making a mess of my yard...so in between football and soccer and apple picking this weekend I know what we are going to be doing. It involves a rake, a pile of leaves, and kids jumping! That is my kids favorite thing to do in the fall is making piles of leaves and jumping in them. Whatever your plans this weekend I hope it involves something fun outside!

Well I finally have some chicks. Two Lemon Cuckoo and a Blue Partridge have hatched and are doing well. I have two chocolate and one more BP pipping right now. It feels like this hatch is taking forever, I was dreaming last night that ducklings were popping out.

I'll get some pics up once everyone has dried and fluffed.
