"Open" Chicken Coop/House in NC?

Hello neighbors I'm in between cheeps and 98 gt in New London. Most of my coops are open and in the winter I staple plastic on them to block the wind.

I'm glad my post brought some of my fellow North Carolinians together! Yay!

Well DF decided to close it in because like Robot and Imago said, the winters and hurricanes do get wild around here. Hopefully they will be staying in it tonight. We had to make A LOT of improvements, but it's coming along! One of my dogs is convienced it's for her!

Weather is GREAT this weekend, but will probably be freezing again before we know it! Any of ya'll go to the Salisbury show yesterday? It was so fun! I'm obsessed with Cochins now, I want some!

i went to the Richfield auction... then took the pheasants i bought there over to the pageland auction fora bit of profit...

I went early and looked around. There were lots of nice chickens at the show. I came home empty handed. The Cochins do make the best pets.

I stoped by the auction on my way home. That place was packed. did'nt stay long but was glad they were salling the birds first instead of all the junk.I sold some birds down at Pageland a few weeks ago.

I didn't get to go to the show

I wanted to though. My uncle was retiring from 32 years from the Coast Guard and had it on the Battleship North Carolina. It was fun though. (I hated leaving my 5 week old chicks though) I am trying to find out when the next show is. My little ones are outside in their new coop today, it's SO NICE OUT. They will be in when the sunstarts setting or if the wind picks up. I hope I built everything good enough for then Hurricanes.
