Open coop

Even if it is an old thread, I'd like to ask about the rain coming in. I'm building an open sided coop. Is there ventilation in or between any or all of the other three walls, the roof and the floor? And what are the dimensions?

I'm solving this problem on the current build with generous roof overhangs.

We were out working on it last week during a heavy downpour and only had some light misting from the clerestory despite strong winds. Once the uphill section has it's complete siding there will always be dry space even in a hurricane.

Gets sexier by the day. Jelly.

My DH and a friend built these two coops as a surprise for me. Originally we used recycled materials but have since replaced it with metal.
