Open navel chick strong, what should I do?

The best thing you can feed it is some balanced chick starter feed.
If the belly is enlarged that may be why the legs are wide. If it can walk, it's probably not splay leg.

It stands up, it doesn't have much space in the container I put it in to walk. I guess I might try and take it out to see what it does.

Could be an umbilical hernia. If it's a hernia then they can often do fine as long as it doesn't become strangulated.
For ointment, plain neopsporin, plain triple antibiotic ointment are fine. It's best not not to use an ointment with pain meds in it, any kind of -caine.
