Open pen

I'm looking to fill an open pen, but I don't know what I want. I enjoy the rarer chickens. I recently tried to get some Barnevelders but basically ended up with a bust. I want to stay away from bantams.

Any ideas?

I have three chicken coops w/ runs. Two are occupied and the third is empty. I was wanting to raise another "purebred" standard breed in it.

Any ideas on what the new breed should be? I like the rare ones.

spitzhaubens? maybe check out the rare and endangered breeds- javas, buckeyes,longtailed?I just can't bimagine an empty pen-I have a wish list that could fill 10 pens I don't have-and need pens anyway-lol.In fact vI am cutting hardware cloth for a tiny coop as I visit here-=lol

I was thinking Wesummer's since they lay chocolate colored eggs. I wanting descent egg layers.

Or Salmon Favolleses (misspelled I'm sure).
