Do you have a large rooster in the flock? That looks very much like damage from a roosters spurs or toenails. Topically apply antibiotic ointment to the wound and keep her away from any roosters. Also protect her from flies. Such wounds take a while to heal.

No roosters. 9 hens in an 8 by 12 shed with a 6 by 10 outside area.

That looks really painful. If that's due to a rooster, once she has healed you might want to check into chicken saddles to protect against future damage. Here's an example of one:

Since you don't have a rooster, sounds like your hens are pecking at her. Once they see red(blood) they will continue to go after her. Chickens can quickly go cannibalistic. I would remove her from the flock, rinse out her wounds with saline solution and them apply Neosporin (NO cain). You will want to keep check for infection and protect her away from flies.
If they lay eggs in her wound, the resulting maggots will be much worse to deal with.

Has she been laying yet? I'm thinking sometimes a hen will have prolapse and the other birds will attack and pull it out farther - killing her.
