Hi everyone! My 2week old chick has been opening and shutting her beak constantly all today. Been very tired all today but eating and drinking is fine! She has just been sleeping and opening her beak all day I'm a little bit worried! I have read it's to cool them down but there in my living room and it's not hot in here? All the others are themselves but shes not. Is there anything I can do for her to help? Any advice is useful Thank you!

What is your temp in the brooder? Could you post a picture of her opening her mouth? It might not be panting (which they do to keep cool) but rather gasping (an indication of a respiratory illness).

That doesn't look too much like labored breathing. You can usually tell if she can't breathe. Look out for sneezing/coughing, too. If she starts pulling her neck forwards and opening/closing her beak constantly to get air, then you should be concerned about an illness. But her nostrils and eyes look clear, so just watch her to make sure it doesn't get worse. But it sounds like you're doing everything right, just keep her toasty with lots of water and food (and keep an eye on her poops too)! You can give her electrolytes if you want, as well.

Ok I have been noticing Alot of sneezing! What are electrolytes?

Here's a good homemade recipe, just mix it all and give it to them:
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons molasses OR 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon potassium chloride* (optional)

It shouldn't be in replacement of their water, but rather it addition too. You can give it to her in a dropper if you like, but you need to be careful not to choke her. For now, separate her out from the other chicks. You don't want them catching whatever she has. Watch for any more symptoms that might narrow down the problem. Have they ever gone outside before?
