Opinion on Best Breed as Pet and for Egglaying

I love adorable/beautiful breeds, though. Any suggestions on roosters with protective tendencies that also are lookers?

I guess I'm getting too picky. Haha.

Most roosters are much more beautiful than hens. That's a common characteristic in most avian species. The boys are pretty to attract the girls. The girls are dull so they can't be seen by predators as they protect nests.

I love a mixed flock for variety but after over 30 breeds, I've settled on my favorite.
