Opinions on Chick food brands

I'm just getting started in the hobby and would like to hear some opinions on chick food brands. I figured I'd just use the Start & Grow Purina food since its readily available. Is there anything specific I should look for in a chick food? Also- what ratio of chick food to grit should I use?

Just about any chick starter will do.
And you do not need any grit (unless they eat something other than chick starter).
If you provide grit, just put some in a small bowl and allow them to consume it if they need it.

I've had good luck with Armada feed. It's cheaper than Purina and it's made just a few miles from where you live, Armada MI.
