I have had chickens for about 10 years now. Have gone through all the fancy ones; hybrids; and came to like the BO's. Now I am ready to have excellent egg layers and execellent meat birds all in one! What is your choice?? Thanks!

I'm partial to heritage breeds. Wyandottes, Delawares, Buckeyes, and Rocks are good. But not black or barred, black pin feathers suck!

I had one in the very beginning (I chose 5 different breeds because I knew nothing!). I didn’t care for her but in reading up on them it will be one I will consider. Beautiful flock btw!
