Opinions Please!

We use a layer of cattle fencing with something smaller over it to keep chickens in. No matter what you run is made of please make sure your coop is secure and LOCK them in EVERY night at dark.

Will do. We live in TX, so there is going to have to be a lot of ventilation for the summers... still trying to work that out.

We're in Texas, too. What I did is build an open sided, roofed coop/run covered with the 1/2 inch hardware cloth. I covered the north wall with Suntuf panels (the same material I used for the roof), and during the fall I added some more of these panels on the sides, attaching with screws so that when spring comes around I can take these additional panels down and store them for next fall.

Suntuf panels... Do they have ridges (not flat)?

We were definitely thinking about doing some panels that fold down or could be removed.

Thanks elmo!
