Opinions/thoughts?

That's good to know. I did get scratch grains at RK last weekend. But I may add those to Chewy as well when I need them again. I had to go to RK for boots, so it was convenient. The only birds they had were meat birds and guineas though, lol. But I did look.
Yeah, kind of hard not to. Now that my last batches of chicks are integrated I look at my Hoover's cart at least once a day. So far I managed to keep myself occupied/entertained with the 3 and 4 week olds.

I've got 6 that get here next week. My "first chickens" lol. I ordered them back in July, but the first date they had available for my BBS Orpington pullets was the end of September. So I'll get 4 Orpingtons and 2 Meyer surprises, probably on the 1st.

I was thinking about ordering the Marans and Cream legbars around the first. Then I remembered my friend and I are switching around some chickens. I'll wait until that quarantine/integration is complete before getting more chicks. So It'll probably be next spring.

Yeah I'm thinking spring as well for any additional bantams. I have males to rehome, so I'm going to do that and then settle my Orpingtons. Then I'll look into additions.

Araucana's do not have a tail, meaning they are missing the tail bone. That's probably the easiest way to tell. That coloring is common to several breeds, so time will tell. They may be EE's instead, which many of will still give you the blue egg. Or the other breeds mentioned. I've never actually seen Araucana's at any of my feed stores, just EE's. I actually like getting a mystery chick now and then, and watching to see what it turns out to be. Like a mini christmas surprise. I got a Welsummer once in a batch of Australorps, she was a really good bird.

Thankfully only 2 of 12 chicks look male so far . . .Snickers and Dutch, but they're still too young to say for sure. Taz, the dad, didn't start showing male characteristics until he was 9 or 10 weeks old.

I know in my youngest group of 3, 2 are male. I know at 4 weeks they're young still, but it's beyond denying, lol. I do think my red cochin is female, and I'm so glad because my older one is the sweetest. That leaves the EE and the d'Uccle to rehome. I'll probably rehome of the porcelain d'uccle males as well.

How far are you again? I need a bantam male, lol.
