Totally get that - I had six ordered from a hatchery in late May, then saw chicks at Rural King in April and impulsively bought four. Four weeks later, I went back and picked up four more chicks - all before the ones from McMurray ever arrived. I meant to end up with about 8 chickens and now I have 13.

I ordered 6 in July, picked up 4 at TSC about a week later, then got 2 more groups of 4 over the next few weeks. I lost one chick, but bought 4, 8 week olds. My current count is 15 bantams, and my "original" 6 chicks will be here next week.
