Opinions...will she fly away?

CLIP THEM!!!! I just got that same advice today, and did exactly what that picture said, and POOF, no more flying.. though mine does keep trying and then crashing... i assume she'll figure it out, and the snow is at least a soft landing. Just clip them, do it, it's easy, one wing, 10 feathers, literally took me 20 seconds... If that. if you lived in Vermont, I'd come over and clip 'em for you! I swear, it's as easy as pie!

Yep sharp scissors and it's a breeze.

I understand being scared to clip them though.

I was too, but I had to because I was more afraid of my little bantams flying away.

I'm not sure where I read it, but this is what I do. I look at the duck I want to catch and ignore the rest. Walk slowly toward the duck making sure to move my arm or a leg in the same direction the duck is trying to take to escape. When I get close enough to reach the duck, I grab it by it's neck. From there you just get the duck in whatever position is easiest for you to gain the control you need to get it a carrying position.
