Opportunity or recipe for disaster???

I have been looking at the small coops on the coop index to get ideas. Really want to raise this coop up, put new floor in and expand coop heighth by 2 feet. Next question is, since these birds have live in a coop and run with no roost, is it too late for that? Should I build a roost , if I expand coop height or is that wasted money, as they are too old to get that behavior now?

Thanks for all the responses and inputs.

LightHawk - I seem to have lost his phone number, but can find the way back to his house....LOL

I think even rescued battery hens remember their instinctual behavior once they reach better conditions. It sounds like they're doing okay without a roost for the moment, so just give them a thick layer of straw to snuggle into until you have the time to remodel their coop.
