I wonder if BlackCat is looking for a cozy bed himself. Maybe he was an indoor/outdoor pet who got dumped by his owners. (I could do bad things to people who do that.)

Remarkable pictures Cyn! I can't tell if it's a Tom or not (but guess it probably is), I'm just surprised Finn let's the other cat intrude on his territory. I didn't think Finn was afraid of anything.
Did Finn maybe meet this cat somewhere else and knows/likes it enough not to want to fight?
We have had several cats come/drop by over the years and it looks like they know each other at least a little bit.

It's possible, Scott. He was over a year old when he decided to live with us and this one appears mature as well. I guess a lot of his life will remain a mystery. I saw something once on a TV program where they put a camera collar on a cat so you could see what the cat saw as it did its thing daily. I wish I could do that with Finn!

Just tell some wildlife people in the Government that you could help them do a wildcritter survey with a catcam on Finn.

Maybe they'd put Finn on the payroll!
Yes, we must be paid for the FinnCam. But, we might see some not so fun stuff. Last night, he apparently caught something that did not agree with him. There are body parts thrown up on the walk down to the barn in at least two places. Yuck. I noted that this morning, as he slept in MY place on the couch, his belly was fairly full and I had remarked that he must have eaten good last night. It was afterward that DH asked if I saw where Finn threw up.![]()
