Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

Thanks! It won't stand on its own-was made to "house" his favorite pillow. He was sleeping since this morning in it, silly cat. He was invited to go out for awhile before it got super cold again tonight. I offered up a trade on a FB local yard sale site, Belgian D'Anver eggs for a working electric bed blanket to put over his house so he could be comfortable Wednesday through Friday when temps dip into the single digits and windchills way below zero. The heating pad in the floor has that pesky shut off timer and I think if I can just cover his entire house with an electric blanket in addition to that pad, he'll be good to go.

That sounds like a good plan I hope someone has an electric blanket to trade. Roux stays in on really cold nights but being the silly boy he is he wants to go out at 4:00 AM when it is super cold so we got one our halogen heaters out of the attic and put it on the porch for him. In the morning when I go out to take care of the girls he is sitting about two feet in front of it "worshiping the heat." Of course super cold for us 25 degrees! Lol! Which is balmy compared to what you all are about to get.

Will he let you rub his tummy? All that fluff is almost irresistible!
He will, up to a point, then he wants to grab and play-bite.

We're getting 5-8*, depending on whose forecast you read, with windchills of -18* on Wednesday night. Tonight and tomorrow night should be low 20's. The problem is that the forecast for my town is for elevations a few hundred feet lower than we are, so we always subtract about 5* to the numbers to be estimate better what the birds, and now Finn, will face.

What a cute picture! It reminds me of little kids playing with the boxes instead of their gifts.

What a beautiful tabby. Im glad your keeping him. I had one who looked identical to Finn the only difference being his eyes were rounder and sea green. His name was Henry and he came home one day vomiting blood. Vet said he ate poison and since its been in his system for so long even if they tried to save him he'd likely not make it. I spent over 200 hundred dollars that day just to have my baby put down.

That's so sad, it's heartbreaking to lose a pet.

I'm so, so sorry! It's horrible to lose a pet that way.
