Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

Pics
Finn most definitely won the race. He always does. In that second picture, he looks like the cartoon characters whose legs spin in a circle, running in place, like they can't get traction. Living with a cat can be treacherous, always having to watch what might shoot in front of you. He's a trip hazard on a daily basis.

He is beautiful!

This is Syba .. Syba does not do 'Cold'!

Hubby was trying to work so he booted Syba (aka, Warmth Vampire) off his lap. Warmth Vampire had other options!

I told Angela in a PM already, but Finn left a young rabbit at the bottom of the stairs tonight, minus most of its head. Sheesh. Last week, it was half a mouse, the front half. It was sitting upright like it had just sat down and fallen asleep, but was gone from the mid-back downward.

Just a couple days before that, he left a shrew laying in the yard, completely intact. I noticed Rowena, while on range and walking around in front of the main coop, picking something fairly large up and she dropped it, picked it up again, then dropped it and left it, apparently disgusted by the taste. When I went to see what the heck it was, it was just a little shrew, not a mark on it, like it had been frightened to death. But I'm sure it was Finn's doing.

Finn has not been eating as much cat food lately. Now, I know why.

speckledhen I refer you to the 'How to tell if your Cat is plotting to Kill You' chart .....

and in particular to the 'Bringing you dead animals' reference ... 'This isn't a gift. It's a warning!'

Hahaha, too funny! Thankfully, so far, I don't think he's caught any birds. He doesn't seem all that interested in them. He knows the chickens are off limits. Broody hens made sure he realized that even the small ones are not to be sampled!
