This is the first flock I've ever had, so I wanted some interesting breeds to mix it up, leading me to the Brahma. I ended up ordering all roosters with the intent to cross them with the Black Australorp and Egyptian Fayoumi hens I received. All of them were ordered from McMurray Hatchery and I did check the box saying I was willing to accept breeds of equal value if there was a stock issue (ended up with one of my Fayoumi being a rooster). So bascially I'm trying to see if the swapped them out for hens in my order. they are all 10 weeks, give or take a day or two, and none of the Brahmas have grown anything past a pea comb. I know they are slow to mature, but even my Egyptian has a full gown comb for the last week. If they're hens then awesome, more egg layers, it's just driving me crazy trying to figure it out.
He/She is very photogenic, is always following within 2 feet of me and act very curious all the time.
straight on shot of the comb
And one of the saddle feathers. used a 4K camera so i hope the resolution is enough.
