What is a call duck?

From what I have seen, they are tons of cuteness distilled into a little, not-quite-two-pound body that looks like a china figurine. Oh, and there's some spunk in there, too.

Calls are very small ducks, charming looking, there are many colors and patterns, they are loud.

Once upon a time duck hunters put a call duck in the pocket of their hunting jackets to attract other ducks. "Call" ducks.

At the Peabody Memphis Hotel, the first ducks to swim in the lobby fountain were calls. These days, mallards grace the lobby fountain.
