Welcome to BYC -- @dekel18042 and @QueenMisha have answered the breed issue rather well already, as you are starting out I would suggest taking a look at various breeds and picking a few that catch your eye, this gives you a chance to try them out and see which of them you really like.

I agree with Ol Grey Mare...try a mixed flock so you can see which breeds you like the best.
