I got some from cackle this year. I called them and they were very helpful and knew their stuff. Maybe give them a call. All my chicks arrived alive and healthy and are laying and scratching around in the backyard now.

My problem is getting the breeds that I want from 1 hatchery. I only keep a certain, fairly low, number of chickens, so Im pretty particular about what breeds I want.

andreanar- I have the same problem, currently have 3 laying hens, looking to add to the flock and really only want an additional 3-4 hens only! I just got off of the phone with Kim from Cackle Hatchery and she couldn't have been nicer. I agree that the next step is to start calling the hatcheries that interest you to get the information you need to make your decision making easier. Hope that helps!

yeah i like cackle, they carry over 200 different types of chicken/duck/goose/pheasant/turkey/guineas. I am getting the hatchery surprise this coming spring
