Unfortunately she's usually in the house on the couch when the rats come out. And yes, frenchies are awesome!

I had two hens die from that last month. I treated them for everything and they just never got better, only thinner. I have another one right now acting the same way but not thin, just moping about and walking with her tail feathers down all the time.

I have lost a few chicks/teens to something like this too! They had coxi, I treated them, then they just got thinner and thinner and finally died. It was like a month after the coxi! What in the world is it?

Yeah, I don't know what the heck it is. I am on a regular treatment schedule for cocci, worms, mites, etc here so I have no idea. I have one right now that is walking straight up and down like a penguin - seriously. She gets around fine, is fat and happy, eats, drinks, pecks...just can't stand up straight. It's as though she has something heavy in behind lol. I've treated her for everything too over the past month. I don't know....

Penguin walking usually means ascities (liver/heart failure), or egg yolk peritonitis (internal laying). Stick a syrringe into her abdomen and see if you can get fluid. If you can it's ascities, if you can't, it's probably best to let her go.

Internal laying pics...graphic. I should have culled her months earlier when her bottom started to hang.
