Just wanted to let everyone know that the latest photos of the babies are now out on the website

I'm not sure yet which ones are staying and which ones are going, but I will keep the site updated as they get a bit older. I will know more about the sexes in the next week or so.

Glad you're back. We are going to the OFF in Canby on Sat...wanna meet us there? I need to talk PNPA with you, like youth or open show for the poster hen? Are we going to try to have a pre-swap Par-Tay at the show with all of the BYC swap friends? I think I have to be in the youth barn the whole time. And you'll be at the Faverolle table?

My trailer is very small but does have an awning and I have a 10x10 pop up. Eventhough I won't be at the swap ya could always have a "planning meeting" at my camp in the evening !

Ok, what's the OFF??

Oh, wait, Oregon Flock & Fiber?? That's the only thing I can think of.

What time? My sister's surprise 40th bday party is Saturday afternoon, so I can if it's early enough.

Yeah, I'll be at the Fav / Am table pretty much all weekend at the show. Maybe we can do something after coop in Friday night since the show banquet is Saturday evening. Maybe we could all bring something and crash the Rustler's trailer!!
lol.png
Camp chairs and potluck??? Don't expect too much of me though, whatever I bring will be store bought...I have 20+ birds to get ready for this show!!

I think you should enter the poster hen in open class. I would like to see her compete against some other birds, and I just about guarantee there won't be any LF entered in the youth show.

Yes potluck at my trailer sounds like fun to me. I will have a table or 2, stove and oven for anything that may need warmed so bring chairs and whatever you may want to share. I wonder do we dare invite them peeps from the north side of the big creek ??

Yes, it's the Oregon Flock and Fiber. We'll be there bright and early Saturday morning. Later we have a wine/lunch activity to attend somewhere else down south. And a little get-together at the Rustler's on Friday night sounds fun! Potluck sounds great! Nothing too organized though. It will be what it will be!

Yep, not too organized sounds right up my alley after cooping in that many birds AND setting up my breed club table!!

Let me know what time you'll be here, I may not be up "bright and early" but Garett and I can make it over there before we head to my sisters.

I have an update on what I can bring.

peacedove
Bringing
-Chanterelle Mushroom Pesto (depends on Chanterelles popping up in time) in pint jars
-Silver Phoenix roo, McMurray hatch April '08. Handles being penned well, no people aggression and is good to the hens.
-Blue Andalusian mixed roo - beautiful! Dad may be Cuckoo Marans Blue splash, or a Salmon Faverolle mix.
-3/4 Salmon Faverolle, 1/4 Dominique - sweet temperament, looks like S.Fav with funny squashed, bumpy comb (better for freezing nights)
-Tomato seeds from this years harvests, Red Zebra, Principe Borghese, Striped Cavern, orange cherry, and assorted. These have all grown in my garden successfully through the wacky season we have had here.
ONLY IF THERE IS SERIOUS INTEREST IN THEM:
-2 Egyptian Fayoumis hens from McMurray hatched April '08
-?4? Runner/Cayuga/Magpie mix Drakes, and 2 pure Ancona Drakes
- White Royal Palm hens. Mother Sheila, 2 years this summer (mostly white), Daughter Cindi, 1 year this fall (black spots on back)

Wanting
-Salmon Faverolle pullet or young hen
-Local grain contacts - barley, peas, oats, wheat
